We built this platform to make power math transparent. Who Runs calcHorsePower.com
calcHorsePower.com is published and maintained by Joshua Beckman, an SCCA Solo and Time Trials competitor based in Pickerington, Ohio. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Automotive High Performance and Motorsport Marketing from the University of Northwestern Ohio, founded Josh Beckman Motorsport and co-founded Mach Jesus Racing. Recent results include a class win and Rookie of the Event at the Bellefontaine Hill Climb Revival, and a class win in Max 5 at Mid-Ohio — verifiable on LinkedIn.
That background is why the numbers here are not abstract. Density altitude, curb weight versus race weight and trap speed against a real time slip are things he works with on event weekends, not just on paper. Where that experience does not reach — the industrial and HVAC calculators — we build from published engineering standards and say so on the page.
